There are many ways to build a huge subscriber list online. However one of the best ways to generate hot leads on the Internet is through social networking. First of all, what is social networking? It is simply the idea of joining a website to interact with others, discuss about topics, post pictures, post bulletins, and message others.
The first step to generating leads from social networking is by setting up an autoresponder. You can do this two ways: you can setup a script on your own server, or you can use a hosted solution. Personally, I recommend using a hosted service like Aweber or Get Response, because these services have formed relationships with the biggest email providers, doing their best to ensure your emails don’t get into the spam folder.
So how would you integrate your optin form with social networking? Simply, by using something called ‘embedding’. It’s possible to embed videos and music into your profile, and also your opt-in form.
The way to get hot, targeted leads from social networking sites is by being a great content provider. Always write informative articles which will help improve your readers’ lives! If you prove your credibility as a quality content provider, people will start subscribing to your list and responding to your offers.
The trick with providing free content is to give useful information, but not too much of it. If you give everything away, nobody is going to sign up for your newsletter. Leave a little bit to the imagination, and leave your best information for your email newsletter or for your paid products!
